CompTIA lists the new version, SY0-801, with a launch date of November 17, 2026, and keeps SY0-701 available in English until June 11, 2027. Books are written for one version. - The exam objectives. CompTIA publishes the full list of what SY0-701 tests, from its Security+ page. Use it as your checklist: if a topic is not on it, it is not on the exam.

Written for SY0-701 specifically. It suits readers who want one book that explains each objective in plain terms and checks them with questions. If your exam turns out to be SY0-801, wait for an edition written for it.
